The original amber wine from Western Australia and an established benchmark of the style. The 2023 version is tighter, finer and longer than previous vintages, built to age, but with characteristic approachability and balance. The aromas are redolent of white flowers and orchard fruit, the long palate framed by gentle phenolics and a saline, plum skin finish. Vinification of several micro-cuvees, with an average length of skin contact of fourteen days. Ten months maturation in French oak barriques, before bottling without addition or filtration. Perfect with char grilled food, or wood fired pizza.
