This historic label was developed by Oscar Borghesi – an immigrant from northern Italy in the 1940s, based on dry grown Chenin blanc and Grenache from our estate vineyard. Borghesi was the first commercial sparkling wine produced in Western Australia. Consistent with historical practices and our natural wine philosophy, we have tiraged a base wine without added yeast, thus preserving the microbiome of our winery. A unique, high quality sparkling wine, combining the elegance of the traditional method with the energy and freshness of methode ancestrale. Chenin blanc / Muscat a petit grains.
