This wine is respectfully crafted from the last four rows of the old Swanville vineyard circa 1913, source block of the Noack clone.
One very trying vintage with lower yields and extremely hot temperatures in the Swan, where no one wanted to pick. Nonetheless, we did and we’re pumped with the results.
The wild lemon verbena meets pear skin aromatics are preserved in-part through fermentation within ceramic egg.
The remaining portion was raised in new and seasoned french oak barriques.
To respect this terroir, a gentle contact with the lees was allowed without stirring.
As always, bottled without fining, filtration or additions.
